ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
Chelsea are celebrating their 120-year anniversary this month, having been founded in March 1905 and have marked the occasion by announcing the best XI of players throughout their history.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Fans around the world have been voting for Chelsea's 'Team of 120' over the last week, selecting each player in a 4-3-3 formation, and the west London side have revealed the final 11 names.

DID YOU KNOW?
Blues fans picked Petr Cech as the goalkeeper for his heroics between the sticks over an 11-year period at Stamford Bridge. In defence, Spanish full-back Cesar Azpilicueta joined legendary centre-backs John Terry and Thiago Silva as well as ex-England and Arsenal left-back Ashley Cole.
Lampard was an obvious choice for the midfield, joining iconic defensive midfielder Claude Makelele and French sensation N'Golo Kante.
And in attack, Drogba, who won four Premier League titles and the Champions League with the club, was unsurprisingly given the nod alongside Belgian wizard Eden Hazard. They appear beside Gianfranco Zola, the only member of the XI who was not part of the Roman Abramovich era.

WHAT NEXT FOR CHELSEA?
Chelsea are now far from the heights reached by many of the legendary figures named in their all-time best team, but Enzo Maresca's team could finish the season with a European trophy as they target the Conference League. Before they continue their continental campaign, though, they will meet rivals Tottenham in the Premier League on April 3.
